ACCREDITATION IN
PUBLIC RELATIONS

As a skilled public relations professional, you know that your success is dependent on staying relevant, resourceful, and inspired.

The Accreditation in Public Relations credential certifies your drive, professionalism, and principles, setting you apart from your peers and positioning you as a leader and mentor in the competitive public relations field.

1

SUBMIT APPLICATION

The timeline for accreditation process varies by individual. The process involves submitting an Application.

2

REVIEW PREPARATION

Once the application is approved, you have one year to complete the process. First, you will prepare to present your portfolio to a readiness review panel.

3

WRITTEN EXAM

Upon successfully presenting your portfolio to the panel, you may take the written exam. PRSA National offers a free study guide or an online preparation course for a fee.

IT IS WORTH IT

While accreditation in public relations is rigorous, the process is not impossible for those ready to apply their experience, grow their knowledge and skills, and open the door to new possibilities.

You're not alone! We speak from experience. A number of our chapter members have completed this process and are here to help.
