PRSA Southern Arizona’s 2025 IMPACT Awards Will Honor
Area’s Best Public Relations, Marketing and Communications

October 16 ceremony will also recognize
outstanding individual practitioners

TUCSON, ARIZONA (SEPTEMBER 22, 2025): The Southern Arizona Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) will honor the area’s best PR, marketing, and communications campaigns of the year at the organization’s 2025 IMPACT Awards on Thursday, October 16 at Catalyst Creative Collective in Tucson.


The annual IMPACT Awards celebrate the ingenuity and outstanding accomplishments of PR practitioners in Southern Arizona, in such categories as written publications, multicultural communications, internal communications, crisis communications, social media, and more. Campaigns for corporations, civic organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits and other entities are represented.


Entries eligible for 2025 Southern Arizona PRSA IMPACT Awards must have been performed between June 2024 and June 2025, and submitted for consideration by July 11. Entries are judged on research, planning, implementation and overall effectiveness by experts located outside the Southern Arizona market. The highest-scoring entry among all submissions will be awarded the coveted “Best in Show” award, and will be submitted to the PRSA Western District for further consideration and recognition on the regional level.


In addition to the submission categories, the chapter’s annual Practitioner Awards will recognize these outstanding local communications professionals:


PR Rookie of the Year

Senior Marketing Manager, Intentional Life Media


PR Career Impact Award

Jan Gordley

Senior Advisor and Former President/Founder, Gordley Group


The ceremony will be emceed by Shannon Black, co-host of the Shannon, Max & Porkchop morning show on Tucson radio KIIM-FM. Carolyn Smith Casertano, APR, Fellow PRSA and a professor of practice in the University of Arizona's Department of Communication, will talk about the University's creation of a new Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.


The 2025 IMPACT Awards on Thursday, October 16 will begin with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the award ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Location is Catalyst Creative Collective, Tucson Mall (lower level), 4500 N.
